Shoppers were evacuated Thursday after a suspicious packaged surfaced at a store in an Orange County mall.
Police say the drama unfolded at the West Point Steven store at the Woodbury Common Outlets after an employee opened a package and an unknown substance came out. Hazmat crews, police and firefighters were immediately called to the scene. Woodbury police say hazmat crews are testing the substance to determine what it is.
Officials say they have determined the substance was not anthrax. Shoppers were able to enter other stores in the outdoor mall.
