Arome, a new French pastry shop on Main Street in Hastings-on-Hudson, celebrated its grand opening Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The bakery, which held a soft opening earlier this week, was met with a large crowd eager to sample its offerings.
Owner Vera Gjelaj Elezag said opening her own pastry shop has been a long-held dream.
"It feels wonderful. Everybody, as you see, is so happy, so excited," Gjelaj said. "It took us about two years to open, with all the permits and construction and everything. But finally, we're open, and it looks like everyone is enjoying it."
Arome boasts an array of desserts, including macarons, gelato, and specialty cakes.
