Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday that Radio City Music Hall will host the closing night of the Tribeca Film Festival on June 19 -
with a full capacity, mask-free, vaccinated-only audience.
"I encourage operators and venues to go higher than 50% vaccinated. You can go to 100% vaccinated," said Cuomo.
While Radio City sets the example, local venues in Westchester are preparing cautiously.
Tarrytown Music Hall says June is too quick a turnaround, although it's planning flexible shows in July and August with some capacity limits.
"If all guidelines were lifted right now, we couldn't open fully tomorrow… We could plan for shows in five, six weeks' time or so," said Tarrytown Music Hall executive director Bjorn Olsson.
In the fall, the Mavericks and Monkees bands are booked for full capacity concerts - with tickets nearly sold out for both.
