Corned Beef and Noodle Recipe
Serves 4
Ingredients:
● 1 lb. egg noodles
● 1 lb. braised corned beef
● ½ head cabbage
● 1 large carrot
● 1 onion
● 1 c. guinness
● 1 q. demi-glace
● 4 T. butter
Instructions:
1. Braise corned beef on a simmer for 6-8 hours
2. After the first 4 hours, add quartered cabbage
3. After 5 hours, add one whole carrot
4. When corned beef is super tender, turn off and let cool
5. Dice cabbage and carrots from your braised corned beef
6. Sweat onions in 1 T. butter until soft
7. Add cabbage
8. Add Guinness
9. Reduce by 50%
10. Add demi-glace
11. Reduce by 50%
12. Add carrots and diced corned beef
13. Reserve on side
14. Cook egg noodles for approx. 8-10 minutes in boiling water
15. Strain cooked noodles
16. Toss with remaining 3 T. of butter
17. Separate into four bowls
18. Pour corned beef, cabbage and onion on top
