Soccer fans gathered yesterday at the Olde Village Inne in Nyack to watch the United States beat Algeria in its final match of group play.
The match was scoreless for all of regulation and fans were disappointed since a tie would have meant that Team USA was eliminated.
Yet, in the first minute of stoppage time, Landon Donovan scored a goal and after three tense minutes of remaining stoppage time, the team and fans celebrated a major victory.
