Police tape blocked off the intersection of Zerega and Randall avenues on Thursday afternoon after a 15-year-old boy was shot in the foot.

Investigators say they responded to a call of a shooting around 4:19 p.m.

At the scene they found the teen with a gunshot wound to the foot. He was taken to Jacobi Hospital and is expected to be OK.

One neighbor was startled to see the crime scene on the street he walks by every day to get home.

"It's a surprise because this neighborhood is usually quiet. You know, people are just working, going home for the most part," said Timothy Ramirez.

Police are searching for two people, last seen wearing all black, in connection to the shooting. They believe the gunman took off on a moped.
