298ds agoNews 12's Erin Colton was joined this morning by Dr. Matthew Harris to discuss vaccinations for 5- to 11-year-olds.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is expected to sign off on Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine for kids as young at 5.
This morning there is a new survey out that says 73% of parents don't plan to vaccinate their young children right away. This is what Dr. Harris would say to parents:
Should parents expect their kids to have the same side effects as adults did? Can kids get the flu shot at the same time?
Right now, California is the only state to announce that a COVID-19 vaccine is going to be required next year - do you think other states will soon follow suit?
As we reported, cases are down 57% since the beginning of September, is this because so many people are being vaccinated - or because people were already sick - and now have antibodies?
