A three-alarm fire heavily damaged a single-family home in Pine Bush early Sunday morning.

Fire officials say crews were called to the home on County Route 17 just after 6 a.m. and later upgraded the response to a third alarm. Images from the scene shows the house gutted by the fire.

Neighbors told News 12 the family who lives there was able to get out safely and is currently staying with others. They also said the family is searching for a missing cat.

News 12 reached out to the Pine Bush Fire Department for additional information but had not heard back as of Monday afternoon.

Crawford police say the fire does not appear suspicious. No word on its cause.
