The New York State Thruway Authority has announced several ramp closures due to flooding.
It says that both the northbound and southbound ramps from the Thruway (Interstate 87) to the Saw Mill River Parkway (exit 7A) are closed.
The ramp from I-87 south to the northbound Saw Mill River Parkway (exit 8A) is also closed.
The Bronx River Parkway is also closed from the Westchester County Center in White Plains to the Sprain Book Parkway in Yonkers. Sections of the Saw Mill River Parkway are flooded in the Elmsford-Greenburgh area, Hastings-on-Hudson and in Yonkers. Westchester County police say people should drive carefully overnight and during the morning commute. Follow all posted detours and do not drive round any barricades or drive on road that has been closed. Drivers will see extra officers deployed.
