The water is back on in New Rochelle after a pipe burst on Beverly Road on Tuesday caused a temporary disruption.

Crews have responded to about a dozen similar breaks since the cold air settled in.

Residents in the area described it as a challenging day, with one person saying, "We've been filling pots and pans and soda bottles just to make sure we have enough water, if necessary gather snow and let it melt in the house!"
