Today marks 17 years since the "Miracle on the Hudson," when a U.S. Airways flight crash-landed on the Hudson River after taking off from LaGuardia Airport.

Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger brought the plane down safely after losing engine power when it struck a flock of geese.

His actions, along with the Coast Guard, FDNY and more than a dozen ferries, saved all 155 people on board.

NY Waterway, which operates the largest ferry fleet between New Jersey and New York, to this day, continues to drill crews in water rescues.
