Heavy winds on Friday night knocked a large tree onto a home in Congers.
Mike Graziano, the homeowner, told News 12 he was relieved no one was hurt.
“There is some damage to the roof and the gutters, but it’s minor and it’s all replaceable,” he said.
For others in the region, fallen trees took power lines down with them.
“We lost power at about 3 o’clock yesterday,” said Mount Pleasant resident Jenny Stahn. “We do have pets. The turtle doesn’t have its heat lamp, fishes don’t have their filters and our poor kitty cats are pretty cold, but we’re hanging in.”
Stahn and many other homeowners are hoping things get back to normal soon.
“I just hope all of this gets cleared up and everyone stays safe,” she said.
