Members of the state's sheriff's office inspected another store in the Bronx Thursday as they continue cracking down on the sale of illegal cannabis.
This time, the Office of Cannabis Management told News 12 that The Easy 1 Deli at 398 E. Tremont Ave. was shut down Thursday afternoon for the sale of illicit cannabis.
According to officials, shutdowns and citations are issued at stores based on several factors, including who the store is selling to and how much drugs are found.
State troopers on the scene told News 12 the store could reopen if they passed an inspection. Today, it’s operating as usually because the owner claims he did nothing wrong.
Nonetheless, a sign is currently posted on its front door saying, “Illegal cannabis seized”. The owner says the sign is bad for business.
