TSA: 2 million travelers passed through US airports Friday, setting pandemic record

The weekend of Thanksgiving air travel is already a record breaker.
The Transportation Security Administration says more than two million people passed through U.S. airport security check points on Friday.
That's the highest checkpoint volume for a single day since the pandemic began, as well as a 13% increase from last year.
AAA predicts Thanksgiving travel overall will rebound to near pre-pandemic levels, with more than 53 million Americans expected to be on the move for the holiday.
