Two men are facing felony charges after police say a dispute between two groups in a Port Jervis neighborhood led to a gun being fired Monday afternoon.

Police say the incident happened around 2:48 p.m. on Seward Avenue near Hammond Street. Investigators say during the confrontation, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and fired a single shot, striking a parked vehicle.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Anthony Longardino, of Port Jervis, and 19-year-old Zane Staerker, of Huguenot.

Longardino is charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, reckless endangerment in the first degree, and criminal mischief in the second degree — all felonies. He was arraigned in Orange County Centralized Arraignment Court in Middletown and remanded to the county jail on $30,000 cash bail, $60,000 bond, or $90,000 partially secured bond.

Staerker is charged with reckless endangerment in the first degree. He was arraigned and released under the supervision of Orange County Probation pending his next court appearance.

Police say Staerker was later treated for a leg laceration at Bon Secours Community Hospital and released. No other injuries were reported, and the investigation is continuing
