Two men arrested for tearing down Israeli flag in Ramapo

Two men, 75-year-old Alter Goldberger, of Monroe, and 32-year-old Yehonatan Ovadia of, Chestnut Ridge, face charges of criminal mischief as a hate crime, petit larceny as a hate crime and conspiracy as a hate crime.

Two men have been arrested for tearing down the Israeli flag from the Ramapo Town Hall on Monday.
Ramapo police say a group damaged the flag in the process and then took it.
Two men, 75-year-old Alter Goldberger, of Monroe, and 32-year-old Yehonatan Ovadia of, Chestnut Ridge, face charges of criminal mischief as a hate crime, petit larceny as a hate crime and conspiracy as a hate crime.
Both men were arraigned in Airmont Village Court and released.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the incident should call them.
