Two state troopers involved in deadly Orange County shooting placed on voluntary leave

The troopers, Kevin Jacks and James Curtin, opened fire on 69-year-old Nancy Loftus after she failed to drop what appeared to be a gun outside a home in the Town of Deerpark, according to state police.

Two state troopers involved in a deadly shooting in Orange County are now on voluntary leave.
The troopers, Kevin Jacks and James Curtin, opened fire on 69-year-old Nancy Loftus after she failed to drop what appeared to be a gun outside a home in the Town of Deerpark, according to state police.
Loftus was taken to the hospital, where she died.
