Two Yonkers men were arraigned from their hospital beds Thursday in the murder of a NYPD officer.
Actor Lillo Brancato Jr. and Steve Armento were arraigned separately at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx for the shooting death of NYPD Officer Daniel Enchautegui. Brancato was charged with second-degree murder. Armento was charged with first-degree murder. Police say early Saturday the pair was looking for drugs next to the officer?s Bronx home. When Enchautegui tried to stop the robbery, gunfire erupted and he was killed, but not before injuring Brancato and Armento.Brancato and Armento are being transferred to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan where they will be kept under police watch.Related Story:
