An upstate man is facing life in prison without parole after being convicted of second-degree murder in the 2023 fatal shooting of Dominique Green in Kingston.

Nyqwuan Monroe, of Schenectady, was found guilty by a jury of shooting Green in the victim's home.

The conviction was supported by DNA evidence that linked Monroe to the murder weapon.

Prosecutors outlined that Monroe wasn't alone in the crime; two other individuals have also been charged in connection with the incident.

Monroe's sentencing is scheduled for March, where he will face the maximum penalty for his conviction.
