The owner of a New York narcotics delivery service has been sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison for causing three overdose deaths, including two Yonkers residents.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office, 41-year-old Jose Luis Tejada Aybar, of Miami, was sentenced in federal court in Manhattan.
Authorities say that in September 2019, one of Tejada’s employees delivered cocaine tainted with fentanyl to three different customers.
Two days later, Martin Banks and Edward Lynch, of Yonkers, and Marsha Clarke, of the Bronx, were found dead from the combined effects of cocaine, fentanyl and other drugs.
Two of Tejada’s employees, Allen Alexis Abisada Guzman and Martin Perez were previously sentenced to 98 months and 70 months in prison, respectively.
