The primary races for U.S. senator hit close to home for Westchester and Hudson Valley residents with local candidates.
Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) was joined by her husband, former President Bill Clinton, as they cast their ballots in Chappaqua. According to a recent Quinnipiac Poll, Clinton is leading her opponent Jon Tasini with 85 percent of the votes to Tasini?s 9 percent. Tasini is hoping his anti-war platform will give voters an option in the election.
Republicans also went to cast their ballots in the primary race for senator. The heated match between former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer and KT McFarland will be decided Tuesday. To view more on the Republican primary for U.S. senator click here.
