Rockland County will finally be home to the state's newest mass vaccination site.
Health officials are hard at work putting the final touches on the Eugene Levy Fieldhouse at Rockland Community College because Thursday morning people can finally get COVID-19 shots there.
The facility opens at 8 a.m. and will distribute shots seven days a week.

VACCINE INFORMATION: Check to see if you are eligible
This comes not only as eligibility expands in New York to people age 30 and olderr this week, and to 16 years and older next week -- but also as vaccination rates in some Rockland neighborhoods lag.
In parts of Monsey and Spring Valley, just 4% of people are fully vaccinated, while the state average is now up to 18%.
Rockland County Executive Ed Day says having a facility in the county will hopefully bring those rates up.
The site will start off giving out 500 doses per day, and eventually ramp up to 1,000 soon.
