Vassar
College in Poughkeepsie is ranked the No. 1 school for financial aid, according
to the Princeton Review.
The
rankings are based on surveys of students and college administrators at more
than 650 schools this academic year.
Another
Princeton Review survey says 98% of families responded that financial aid is
necessary to pay tuition.
Tuition
at Vassar is over $81,000 but the average need-based scholarship given out is
nearly $59,000 – so students end up paying about $22,500.
Other
schools on the list include Princeton, Yale, Pomona and Vanderbilt.
