yesterdayA murder-suicide rocked the
quiet community of Pine Island this weekend.
State police say troopers and Warwick police responded to the report of
a shooting on Newport Bridge Road around 4:20 p.m. on Saturday. Officials
found Ryan Wendt, 38, of Warwick, outside with a gunshot wound. He
was transported to a hospital where he was
pronounced deceased.
Authorities say their
investigation determined that Wendt was
intentionally shot by Timothy Todman Jr., 35, of
Warwick, following a dispute. Todman Jr. then
commit suicide by a self-inflicted
gunshot.
Right now, police say
there is no threat to the public, but the investigation is still ongoing.
