Victim robbed by group of men, hit in the head with shotgun

Town police say the suspects drove off in a dark-colored SUV with Rhode Island license plates.

A person claims to have been hit in the head with a gun and robbed in Poughkeepsie, according to police.

They say it happened in the area of 45 Fairview Ave. around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday when a group of men reportedly approached the victim, struck him in the head with a shotgun, and stole some of his belongings before running off. Some of them were wearing ski masks.

Town police say the suspects drove off in a dark-colored SUV with Rhode Island license plates.
