Vigil held for Spring Valley teen who was fatally shot

A makeshift memorial has been set up on the street where police say 19-year-old Tyriiq Seward was murdered.

A makeshift memorial has been set up on the street where police say 19-year-old Tyriiq Seward was killed.
Tyriiq Seward was shot and killed Monday night on Rose Avenue. While the teen is a native of Spring Valley, he had been living in South Carolina. His family says he wanted to be a music artist and was only visiting to shoot a music video.
Spring Valley police detectives spoke to the family at the memorial. No arrests have been made so far.
Seward's mother is begging for anyone who may have information on the deadly shooting to call investigators
There is a basketball at the memorial because Seward's family said he loved the sport and always had one with him.
The memorial also has a graduation doll because he was set to graduate from high school next month.
The wake and funeral services will be held next Wednesday at St. Timothy's Church at 10 a.m.

The family said Seward was from Spring Valley but lived in South Carolina with his mother.
They said Seward was pursuing a music career and was in Spring Valley because he was shooting a music video when he was shot and killed.
His family said they are heartbroken.
Seward's wake and funeral are scheduled for 10 a.m. next Wednesday at St. Timothy's Church.
