The Westchester County District Attorney's Office says a Virginia man was sentenced to 20 years to life for the fatal 2021 shooting of a New Rochelle cab driver.
Authorities say 54-year-old Blakely shot 62-year-old Andres Valenzuela while attempting to rob him on Main Street.
Blakely was arrested a few days later after a shoot-out in Brooklyn.
Police also recovered the murder weapon, a .22 caliber firearm.
