Wake services held today for Eastchester teacher and husband killed in murder-suicide

Yonkers police issued an advisory that as people pay their respects, traffic congestion is expected on the northbound Central Park Avenue service road between Tuckahoe Road and Plymouth Avenue between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. today with limited parking in the area.

Wake services were held for Arlene and Sean O'Neil on Tuesday.
The couple died last week in their home on Chittenden Avenue in what police are calling a murder-suicide. According to investigators, 54-year-old Sean O'Neil shot his wife multiple times then shot himself. The couple's three sons were home during the early morning shootings but were unharmed.
Arlene O'Neil was a 5th grade teacher at Anne Hutchinson Elementary School in Eastchester, Sean O'Neil was a retired NYPD officer. Wake and funeral services will be held at the same location and times for the couple.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday at Annunciation Church. St. Eleanoras Lane between Scarsdale Road and Westchester Avenue will be closed to traffic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parking will be limited in the vicinity of the church. Yonkers police say officers will be on hand to help with traffic issues.
