The new 23-year-old mayor of Walden was sworn in Monday, bringing to an end a contentious election season.
Brian Maher was named mayor in March after a recount and a lawsuit - which was brought on by the incumbent mayor he defeated - seeking to overthrow the results of the election.
Maher says he acknowledges that as a young mayor he won't always have the answers. But he promised to seek counsel, saying many of the people at his swearing in would be valued advisors.
