New York has been named the best state for teachers.

Wallet Hub ranked New York as the best out of all 50 states when it comes to job aspects like income, tenure protections, state spending per student and school system quality.

Data shows New York also has the lowest teacher turnover rate at 4.3%.

Washington came in second, followed by Virginia.
