Walmart says it is making some changes to U.S. stores to create a calmer experience for neurodiverse people with sensory disabilities.
Starting Friday, the retail giant will have sensory friendly hours every day between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
During that time, stores will dim lights, turn off the radio, and set TV walls to a static image.
The measures are meant to provide less stimulating environments for shoppers.
The company says they learned about the benefits of those efforts during the back to school shopping period.
