Part of Nepperhan Ave. in Yonkers reopened Monday morning after a water main break shut it down in both directions.
It happened Sunday night between Axminster St. and Ashburton Ave., the same area as the ongoing construction for the sinkhole that happened a month ago.
Police on scene could not confirm if the main break was related to the construction, but they did say the water main break has not been fixed yet. Crews are set to return to the scene around 7 a.m. on Monday morning.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and plan alternate routes for their morning commute. Saw Mill River Road and N Broadway are available as alternate routes.
