Hudson Valley residents returned home by rail, car, and plane Sunday after the holiday.
Some traveled by plane to Westchester County Airport, while others took to the road early to beat the traffic.
Several commuters chose to ride the bus or train because they are more inexpensive and convenient.
Many commuters say they will be traveling all over again next month for the holidays.
