News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Meredith Garofalo says Long Island will see rain periodically on Sunday before a chance of a wintry mix Monday morning.
NEW: Sunday light to moderate rain will develop and be on/off late morning through the overnight. Monday morning there could be a brief burst of a wintry mix/snow for some on Long Island before a much drier and cold afternoon ahead.
NEXT: Another storm to watch late Thursday and Friday.

SUNDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH - Cloudy first half of the day. Showers arrive in the afternoon. Rain may be heavy in the evening. Chilly with highs in the 40s and lows in the 30s.
MONDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH AM - A mix of rain or snow possible in the morning. Little to no accumulation expected, but snow could reduce visibility through 9 a.m. Highs near 41. Lows in the 20s.
