Crowds converged at the Yonkers waterfront Sunday night in anticipation of the city's Fourth of July fireworks show.
Many revelers said that they arrived early to secure spots to get a good vantage point of the fireworks.
Residents told News 12 that they felt happy to finally celebrate Independence Day as the pandemic put a halt to celebrations last year.
They added that it also felt good to get together with friends and family after being apart for most of the last year.
