West Nyack construction worker injured in accident

A construction worker is recovering after a scaffolding accident Monday in West Nyack. A crew was taking down steel beams from an old building behind a ShopRite on Route 59 near the Palisades Center.

A construction worker is recovering after a scaffolding accident Monday in West Nyack.
A crew was taking down steel beams from an old building behind a ShopRite on Route 59 near the Palisades Center. Fire officials say the scaffolding collapsed around noon.
A high-lift operator became trapped against an excavator machine. He was taken to Nyack Hospital, but is expected to be OK.
The town building inspector is now investigating.
