The West Nyack Fire Department is actively recruiting new members.

No previous experience is required, but applicants must meet specific requirements.

These include being at least 16 years old, passing the New York State Firefighter One class, and attending Monday night drills.

Benefits of joining the West Nyack Fire Department include free annual medical exams, college credits and scholarships, as well as free tuition to Rockland County College and reimbursement for other colleges.

Interested individuals can apply by visiting the firehouse any Monday night at 7 p.m.
