West Point discovers nearly 200-year-old time capsule

The time capsule was discovered in the Thaddeus Kosciuszko Monument during recent renovations.

The United States Military Academy at West Point plans to unveil the contents of a time capsule that is nearly 200 years old.
The time capsule was discovered in the Thaddeus Kosciuszko Monument during recent renovations. Academy officials determined it was placed there by cadets in 1828.
The academy plans to continue the tradition by placing a time capsule into the rebuilt base of the monument.
It will be unveiled next Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Robinson Auditorium.
