General Steven Gilland Monday.
Gilland was promoted to Lieutenant General and officially take charge of
the Academy as the 61st superintendent, during the change of command ceremony.
He graduated from West Point in 1990 and holds a masters' degree in military
operational art and science.
Outgoing Superintendent Lieutenant General Darryl Williams was promoted to
General at the U.S. Military Academy and will assume command
of US Army Europe and Africa, during a ceremony Tuesday in Germany.
