Westbound lanes on Route 17 in Orange County are now open following a serious crash in Goshen. The incident occurred just past the Fletcher Street exit.

A car left the roadway and crashed into some trees just before 8 p.m. Thursday.

Goshen fire officials report that the driver was seriously injured and was rushed to the hospital.

Efforts are underway to learn more about the person's condition and determine if anyone else was in the vehicle.
