Several community groups are joining together at Renaissance Plaza in White Plains to shoot a public service announcement urging people to register to vote ahead of the June primaries.
The Pan Hellenic Council and the League of Women's Voters are among many groups gathering in honor of Harriet Tubman with a simple message: Vote.
The production is called "A stroll to the polls."
There are about 50 people of all backgrounds, not advocating for any one candidate or party, just for the importance of registering to vote.
"Our votes determine what happens in the future. For so many years, so many of us weren't allowed to vote. We need to exercise that right," says Byron Smalls of the Tubman Registration Group.
