Storm preps are underway across the region as we continue to prepare for what is expected to be a nasty day news. Twelve's Jade Nash now joins us to tell us how some are preparing Jade Nadia. We're here at Yonkers Recycling Center where DPW workers behind me have been handing sandbags out to residents all weekend. Unfortunately, the demand was so high that they're forced to turn cars around until they get more. Now, in addition to the potential of flooding and water damage, storms like this one also tend to pose risks to power lines. Orange and Rockland utilities tell us that they are deploying their emergency response teams early Sunday evening, their overhead line crews, tree removal experts and customer service operators will also be activated earlier. News pub also caught up with a rep from central Hutton to learn how they're keeping an eye on the storm. Gonna bring a little bit of everything to our service area. It looks like, uh you know, a little bit of snow to some certain areas, heavy rains across most of our area and winds and of course that the the rain coupled with wind gusts of over 40 to 45 miles an hour is the primary concern for us is that moves in later tonight. So we do have a full complement of our internal crews as well as our contract crews on site. Now, Jin says that these crews will be staffed overnight to prepare for the storm.
