In celebration of Women's History Month, the Westchester County Board of Legislators has honored two outstanding women leaders.
Dr. Suzanne D. Phillips, an educator and community advocate, along with Elizabeth Rotfeld, deputy village clerk and senior citizen coordinator for Rye Brook, received special recognition at Monday night's legislature meeting.
"I want to make sure the young women coming up understand they too can achieve if they continue to believe," emphasized Dr. Phillips.
"Do something to help others each day without expecting anything in return," encouraged Rotfeld.
The board proclaimed March 26, 2024, as Dr. Suzanne D. Phillips Day and March 23, 2024, as Elizabeth Rotfeld Day in Westchester County.
