Westchester County officials concerned about potential school aid cuts

According to Gov. Kathy Hochul's 2025 budget proposal, nearly 20 school districts in Westchester would see less financial assistance next year compared to this year.

State Assembly Member J. Gary Pretlow and Westchester County Executive George Latimer say they are concerned about potential cuts to school aid.
According to Gov. Kathy Hochul's 2025 budget proposal, nearly 20 school districts in Westchester would see less financial assistance next year compared to this year.
Pretlow says he and his colleagues are working to find additional revenue sources to address these concerns.
There will be 14 hearings statewide to get the public's input on budget priorities between now and the April 1 deadline to reach a deal.
