Westchester DA: Yonkers man gets 12 years for 2021 armed robbery

Westchester District Attorney Mimi Rocah says Shawn Lucas, 37, was convicted of robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and grand larceny.

A Yonkers man is headed to prison for 12 years for an armed robbery in the city.
Westchester District Attorney Mimi Rocah says Shawn Lucas, 37, was convicted of robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and grand larceny.
The defendant was accused of following the victim as he entered his apartment building in 2021.He was carrying a loaded pellet gun and demanded the victim's wallet and cellphone.
Lucas was tracked down shortly after thanks to surveillance video. The victim was able to identify the gun used in the robbery.
