There's a new piece of technology in one Westchester dentist's toolbox.
It's called "Yomi," an FDA-cleared robot that uses GPS technology to help map out every move for implant surgeries.
News 12 has been told it's not fully animatronic, just a guiding hand to cut out human error.
The new technology has been at Advanced Dentistry on Main Street in Mohegan Lake since the beginning of this year and has been used on dozens of patients since.
"It's great because it's less chair time. It's less cutting. Less swelling. Less discomfort. Yesterday we had a patient that was no cutting at all. The patient spent in the office, less than an hour," says Dr. George Sepiashvili, of Advanced Dentistry.
The doctor says there's no extra cost to patients.
