The Westchester Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed that the death of a county jail inmate was a suicide.
Officials say Luis Ramos, 28, was facing murder charges in the deaths of a Yonkers mother and daughter. He was found dead in his cell last March.
Authorities say Ramos stabbed and killed 70-year-old Isabella Triano and 38-year-old Trisha Miller in their home on Shipman Avenue in October 2021.
Ramos was arrested a few days later in Arizona.
Officials say Ramos also had a pending arson case in Dutchess County at the time of his death.
