The Westchester County Sports Hall of Fame Committee has removed an inductee who pleaded guilty to a child pornography charge.
Richard Leaf, a popular sports announcer in Westchester, was known as the voice of the County Center. The 74-year-old Somers resident pleaded guilty last month to a federal child pornography charge.
Soon after, County Executive George Latimer called on the Hall to remove Leaf.
In a latter to Latimer, the committee said it is imperative that all members have the highest integrity and good character.
Leaf faces five to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced in January.
