Westchester County is trying something new to convince teens to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
The county has teamed up with Adam Met, who is part of the trio that makes up the popular band AJR, to get the word out about the importance of getting vaccinated for COVID-19 through a public service announcement.
County Executive George Latimer says he hopes Met's message resonates with teens who may follow the Billboard Music Award-winning group from New York City - and help increase vaccination numbers.
"My experience with the vaccine, it was so easy. I was in and out in like 10 minutes. Westchester has always been so great to us and I know there are so many big fans there," says Met.
The PSA is part of an ongoing effort that includes PSAs from other big names, including basketball players on the New York Knicks and members of the Radio City Rockettes.
