Westchester County Executive George Latimer previewed his 2022 budget proposal.
The proposal contained some good news for homeowners, namely a $7 million cut to the property tax levy.
Latimer cut the levy by $1 million in both 2020 and 2021.
The proposal also uses federal COVID-19 money to expand childcare subsidies, rent relief and access to health care.
This third consecutive property tax reduction will be the largest since $10 million was cut in 2011.
